Registering for Little Bellas

You are REGISTERING for this program, meaning this is a guaranteed spot. Registration will move to a waitlist if the program fills to capacity and we will notify you if a spot opens up. You will only be granted a spot in this program or waitlist when you have completed the registration in its entirety and have received an email confirmation from Little Bellas.

Program Description

Summer is a beautiful time to be in the U.P.! For kids, it means outdoor activities are ramping up and there's no better outside activity than riding a bike and no better place to ride it than in the Little Bellas Marquette Weekly Program!

The Marquette Weekly Program offers eight recurring, Sunday late afternoon sessions. The first four at the Forestville Trailhead in Marquette and the next four at Jackson Mine Park in Neguanee. This program creates a fun, positive environment where each girl can make new friends, learn new skills, and build confidence. We focus on having fun, using games and activities to teach and develop basic to more advanced mountain bike skills. Whether it's riding to find clues in a scavenger hunt, navigating an bike skills obstacle course, or riding the flowing trails Jackson Mine Park, the girls build confidence in their riding skills and in themselves!

Once a week, the girls and Mentors (we don't coach, we mentor) will engage in different activities, rides, and games as a way to progress through a basic to advanced mountain biking skill set. The girls are given healthy challenges in a friendly, fun environment as a way to build confidence and enhance skill learning. This curriculum is designed to promote camaraderie among the girls, progressive skill learning, and to perpetuate the love of mountain biking, all while having a great time! This program is for riding and fun and is not focused on competition.

Financial assistance is available if needed and we also have equipment available through our Gear Up program! Please communicate any of these needs when filling out the registration form for the program.

What to Bring:

• Bike Specific Helmet
• Mountain Bike - In good working order (with hand brakes, gears, and treaded tires)
• Water
• Closed-toed shoes
• Rain gear or extra layers if necessary

Schedule:

• 40 mins to 1 hr - Trail ride in small, age/ability appropriate groups
• 15 min - Snack (provided)
• 45 min - Games and activities (each day of the program has a different and unique curriculum)

Program Lead

Elizabeth believes in the magical power of connection in nature - being out in nature on her bike is one of her happiest places, and even better when riding with friends! Elizabeth also believes in finding balance in everything you do - some parts fun, some parts challenging! When Elizabeth is not riding her bike she is probably either teaching third grade, spending time in nature with friends and family, or eating yummy foods like homemade bread with peanut butter and homemade jelly, homemade pizza, fruit or you guessed it homemade cookies! Elizabeth also loves being an aunt and takes every chance she gets to visit her two adorable nephews who she is enjoying teaching the love of biking!

Cancellation Policy

If you for any reason need to cancel your Little Bellas registration prior to your program start, we offer the following refund minus a $12 non-refundable processing fee:

8 or more weeks before launch: Full refund
5 to under 8 weeks before launch: 75% refund
3 to under 5 weeks before launch: 50% refund
2 to under 3 weeks before launch: 25% refund
Under 2 weeks before launch: No refund

Weather-Related Cancellations

If we must cancel a program day due to weather, one make-up day (or two, depending on the program) is built into the program schedule. Because our programs are largely volunteer-based, we are unable to guarantee additional make-up sessions beyond those built into the schedule.
