Registering for Little Bellas

You are REGISTERING for this program, meaning this is a guaranteed spot. Registration will move to a waitlist if the program fills to capacity and we will notify you if a spot opens up. You will only be granted a spot in this program or waitlist when you have completed the registration in its entirety and have received an email confirmation from Little Bellas.

Program Description

Is there anything better than riding bikes in the cool, spring evenings? What better way to get out on the trails than with the Little Bellas Columbia Weekly program!

Meeting at Chickasaw Trace, the Columbia Weekly program is open to girls of all abilities. The program offers eight recurring mountain biking sessions throughout the season and focuses on allowing each girl to learn new skills and build confidence, all in a positive, fun environment. Using both trail riding and specific games both on and off the bike, the girls practice proper riding technique, eat snacks, and make new friends. The variety of trails at Chickasaw Trace assures each girl will find terrain just right and challenging enough for her.

Once a week, Sundays, over the course of 8 weeks, girls and Mentors (we don't coach, we mentor) will meet and participate in a variety of activities including games and trail riding. Through these games and activities, we focus on having fun, using the different elements of the activity to teach and work on basic to more advanced mountain bike skills. This curriculum is designed to teach the girls skills progressively, and perpetuate the love of mountain biking, all while laughing, giggling, and having a great time! This program is for riding and fun and is not focused on competition.

Financial assistance is available if needed and we also have equipment available through our Gear Up program! Please communicate any of these needs when filling out the registration form for the program.

What to Bring:

• Bike Specific Helmet
• Mountain Bike - In good working order (with hand brakes, gears, and treaded tires)
• Water
• Closed-toed shoes
• Rain gear or extra layers if necessary

Schedule:

• 40 mins to 1 hr - Trail ride in small, age/ability appropriate groups
• 15 min - Snack (provided)
• 45 min - Games and activities (each day of the program has a different and unique curriculum)

Megan has been teaching fellow neighborhood kids to ride bikes on sidewalks and dirt trails since she was just five years old. Now, she’s excited to share that experience with Little Bellas. Megan lives in Columbia, TN, with her husband (Rob), two kids (Grady 10 and Cora 7), German Shepherd, two fish, and Bearded Dragon. When she isn't working, she’s busy planning her next outdoor adventure which usually involves getting lost in the woods somewhere while hiking, biking, camping, or paddling. She sees mountain biking as a way for girls and women to make fun a priority, find their own adventure, and build confidence through challenge. She can’t wait to get the wheels rolling for girls in the Nashville area.

Cancellation Policy

If you for any reason need to cancel your Little Bellas registration prior to your program start, we offer the following refund minus a $12 non-refundable processing fee:

8 or more weeks before launch: Full refund
5 to under 8 weeks before launch: 75% refund
3 to under 5 weeks before launch: 50% refund
2 to under 3 weeks before launch: 25% refund
Under 2 weeks before launch: No refund

Weather-Related Cancellations

If we must cancel a program day due to weather, one make-up day (or two, depending on the program) is built into the program schedule. Because our programs are largely volunteer-based, we are unable to guarantee additional make-up sessions beyond those built into the schedule.
